Talbiyah Prayer, Umrah Candle

Four lines of white Arabic carry the Talbiyah across the top of this label, set on a solid terracotta ground that gives it real presence. "UMRAH MUBARAK" follows beneath with the couple's names and the year in both Hijri and Gregorian form, closing the design without room for a personal message. The prayer does the work here, which suits a couple who would rather be given the words themselves than a written congratulation.

Hand poured in a frosted glass jar, using premium fragrance oils blended with natural waxes. The label itself is printed on a textured white paper, softly tinted so it settles gently against the frosted glass. Made by hand in Yorkshire, each candle is personalised to order and carefully packaged, with the option to upgrade to a luxury gift box at checkout.

• On the first burn, let the wax pool right to the edges of the glass, this helps prevent tunnelling later on.
• Trim the wick to around ¼ inch (6mm) before every burn.
• Extinguish using the lid (if included) or a snuffer, rather than blowing it out.
• Burn on a heat-resistant surface, for no longer than 4 hours at a time, and never unattended or near children or pets.

Velvet & Oud

An opulent, seductive scent reminiscent of a romantic evening in an Arabian garden. This candle's aroma is exotic yet warming. Velvet & Oud beautifully combines heady rose and peony on a smoky oud and vanilla base.
